Directors and committee members completed an impressive 60-mile route, to raise a grand total of £2770.
RNCI directors, committee members and supporters donned their boots and helmets on 12th October, after a weather warning caused the original date of 5th to be rescheduled. The fundraisers either walked or cycled from either ends of the Speyside way, meeting at Craigellachie. The cyclists rode from Aviemore to Craigellachie and walkers marched from Spey bay to Craigellachie, where the teams celebrated meeting.
The impressive £2770 raised will go towards our incredible projects and resources that we provide for schools in Aberdeen city, Aberdeenshire and Moray.
RNCI Chairwoman, Emma Ruxton was delighted with the comradery of the day and fund raised;
“It was an exceptional day for the challenge, with a fantastic turnout, dedicated competitors, and truly breathtaking scenery. I am absolutely delighted with the tremendous support shown and the outstanding amount raised for RNCI. Congratulations to the hikers taking home the trophy!’’
